Laura Ferrin

Laura Ferrin earned her Bachelor of Science degree from Brigham Young University (BYU) in 1996.  She then earned her Juris Doctorate degree from BYU's J. Reuben Clark Law Schol in 1999.  While attending law school, she interned for the state courts, served as the Editor of an annual Salt Lake City human resources publication, and served as the Staff Editor for BYU's Law Review publication.

Upon graduation, Laura Ferrin worked for the Utah State Courts in Provo and in Ogden for several years and as in-house corporate counsel for a large California corporation for 2 years.  She then worked as an associate attorney in the areas of consumer bankruptcy law and family law at large Salt Lake City law firm.

Laura established The Law Offices of Laura Ferrin, a Professional Law Corporation, in January 2009, continuing to serve as a Utah consumer bankruptcy attorney.  In fact, she focuses her time exclusively on consumer bankruptcy law, filing both Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 cases for individuals and families under the federal Bankruptcy Code.

Laura is an active member of a number of professional organizations, including the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys (NACBA), the Utah State Bar, the Utah Bankruptcy Lawyers Forum (UBLF), the American Bar Association (ABA), the Phi Delta Phi (Φ∆Φ), and the United States District Court (District of Utah) Bar.

She is fluent in the language of Spanish, having served a full-time LDS mission from 1994 to 1995 in the counties of Ventura, Los Angeles, San Luis Obispo, and Santa Barbara, California, and also having studied Spanish from the sixth grade through college.
